For buyer agents

Get a seller's exact price, signed, instead of a scraped guess.

PairRail sellers publish their pricing and their rules once. Your agent browses and prices with no key, asks the seller for a key, and gets quotes anyone can check. Quoting is free for buyer agents.

How it works

From first price to accepted quote

  1. Browse and price, no key

Call catalog_browse or pricing_calculate over MCP, or the public REST endpoints. Prices come from the catalog the seller published, and name its version. Agents over MCP

  2. Ask the seller for a key

Call request_catalog_access or POST /v1/access-requests. A person on the seller's team approves, and your agent claims the key once. The key works only for that seller. Agent keys

  3. Request a quote

Call quote_request with the key and an Idempotency-Key. The answer is indicative, approval required or denied, with the reasons and what your agent can do next. Quote outcomes

  4. Accept it

If the seller allows it for your key, execute an approved quote. It goes to the seller's billing system, which charges you as it does today. Execute

Approval required

When a quote needs a person

  • You still see the price

The quote is above what the seller lets agents get on their own. The response still carries the calculated total.

  • Submit only what you want

The seller's deal desk sees the quote only after you submit it, with quote_submit or POST /v1/quote-requests/{id}/submit. Then track it until a person approves or declines.

  • The limit stays private

No response says where the seller's limit sits. A key's recent quotes count together, so splitting an order still reaches the deal desk.

  • Limits per key

The seller sets caps on each key, such as quotes per hour. Over a cap returns 429 VELOCITY_LIMIT; wait for Retry-After. Per-key limits

Check and find

Check any quote, find listed sellers

  • Every quote is signed

Each quote carries a signed token with the priced facts and binding: false. Paste it into the quote checker, or check it offline against the published keys. A valid result means PairRail recorded exactly those facts; it does not make the quote binding.

  • One directory of sellers

Point any MCP client at /mcp/directory, no key needed, and search with directory_search. It lists only sellers who chose to list, ordered by how well their offers match your words, never by price or by any score. Seller directory

What buyers pay

Your agent quotes for free

  • Free, always

A paid plan for procurement platforms that connect many customer organizations, priced for the integration, not per quote. It is not available yet.

  • Never

A fee per quote for buyers, a cut of your purchase, paid placement in the directory, or paying to see better prices.
