Solutions · Observability and security APIs
Quote ingest, retention and commits the way you bill them.
Engineers ask coding and ops agents which logging, monitoring or security service to use, and what it will cost. Atlas publishes your per-GB, per-span and per-host prices, included volume and retention, and sends large commitments to a person.
Ingest 60 TB in a month and the same rules send the quote to a person.
The problem
Where agents get observability pricing wrong
Ingest tiers
The per-GB rate drops as volume grows. An agent that reads one rate prices 60 TB like 6 TB.
Included volume
The first terabyte, or a set number of hosts, comes with the plan. Agents charge for it anyway.
Retention
Keeping data for 30 or 90 days costs extra per GB, in a table agents rarely find.
Annual commits
A yearly commit gets a lower rate than month to month. A scraper quotes whichever number it saw first.
Example
Each tier at its own rate
Graduated tiers price every band of volume at its own rate. The total then meets your approval limit, so a big month reaches a person.
One month of log ingest, two sizes
| Tier | Rate | 20 TB month | 60 TB month |
|---|---|---|---|
| First 1,000 GB | Included | 1,000 GB · $0.00 | 1,000 GB · $0.00 |
| 1,001 to 50,000 GB | $0.10 per GB | 19,000 GB · $1,900.00 | 49,000 GB · $4,900.00 |
| Above 50,000 GB | $0.07 per GB | None | 10,000 GB · $700.00 |
| Ingest total | Graduated | $1,900.00 · within policy | $5,600.00 · needs approval |
The 60 TB quote still carries its total. It reaches the deal desk only when the buyer submits it, and the agent never sees where the limit is.
In Atlas today
How Atlas handles the rest
| In your pricing | How Atlas handles it |
|---|---|
| Retention periods | A component per retention period, priced per GB, so the quote names the period the buyer asked for. |
| Yearly commits | Yearly components price in whole years, and every quote records the commitment it was priced on. |
| Spans, hosts and scans | Each is its own meter in your unit, quoted line by line next to ingest. |
| Your security team's audit trail | On Enterprise, every audit event streams to your SIEM as a signed webhook. |
Every seller
The same controls, whatever you sell
Verifiable quotes
Every quote is signed and marked binding: false. Anyone holding one can check it in the quote checker, with no account or key.
A person approves large orders
Above your limit, a quote comes back as approval required. Your deal desk reviews it once the buyer submits it, and the agent never sees where the limit is.
Your billing stays in charge
An approved quote reaches your billing system as a draft invoice or quote, and your processor charges the buyer as it does today. Stripe and Chargebee connect directly. Any other system takes a signed webhook. HubSpot can log each quote as a deal. Integrations
Buyers connect from their AI app
A buyer can reach your catalog from ChatGPT, Claude, Cursor, Antigravity or GitHub Copilot in VS Code by signing in with a work email, through your own link or the PairRail buyer connector. You approve each buyer before they can quote. For buyer agents
- Sandbox
- Serves your catalog on MCP, with quotes marked as a rehearsal.
- Pro
- Serves it live on MCP, UCP, ACP, A2A and UAP. Approving quotes and the billing handoff need Pro.

FAQ
Questions about observability pricing
More answers in the full FAQ, or email support@pairrail.com.
Can Atlas price graduated ingest tiers?
Yes. Each meter can use volume or graduated tiers, with the included amount as a $0 tier. The quote follows your tiers and names the catalog version that priced it.
How do I price retention?
As its own component, priced per GB for each retention period you sell, next to ingest. The quote shows the period the buyer asked for.
Can an agent get my annual commit rate?
Only on the terms you publish. A yearly component is priced in whole years, and every quote records the commitment it was priced on. Anything above your limit goes to your deal desk once the buyer submits it.
Can our security team get the audit trail?
On Enterprise, every audit event streams to your SIEM as a signed webhook. On Pro, the workspace keeps your most recent 1,000 events for up to 90 days.
Do buyer agents need a key to see my prices?
No. Agents browse your public catalog and get indicative prices with no key. They need your approval only to request a quote, either with a key or by signing in from their AI app.
